About the data: Papers were drawn from NC State's citation corpus (2022–2025), filtered to SPECTER2 similarity ≥ 0.88, then semantically classified using TF-IDF + Latent Semantic Analysis (400 components) with a LinearSVC classifier (5-fold CV F1 = 0.987). Only the 444 high-confidence papers (semantic score > 2.0) are visualized, organized into four AI research verticals with two levels of sub-topic clusters.
